This is my collection of hyacinth vases.
I have 16 tall churn-sahpe vases: 7 cobalt blue, 4 amethyst, 2 teal, 1 green, 1 dark green and 1 amber.
I have 12 squat bulbous Tye-shape vases: 5 cobalt blue, 3 amber, 2 amethyst, 1 teal and 1 green.
I have 3 x-shape vases: one each clear, blue and green. I have 3 round vases: 2 cranberry and 1 clear. I have 1 teardrop in amber, 2 tall teardrop in amber and 5 one-off shapes: 2 clear, 1 uranium and 1 cobalt blue and 6 modern vases: 2 1950s, 4 clear and 2 coloured plastic. I hadn't thought about it before but doing this analysis the modern vases are more likely to be clear glass. What's happened to those rich colours, esp cobalt blue and amethyst?
