These are my final hyacinths for this year: 3 in bloom, 2 in bud and 7 with stem and roots which may bloom but it's so late now, they aren't really forced just early. I also have some hyacinths with stem growth but no roots and some with no stem and no roots - very disappointing, about 40 bulbs in all (out of 125 bulbs). I don't think I've ever had so many failures.

Happy New Year! It's been a difficult forcing season. I'm assuming the hyacinths were grown through the drought and heatwave last year so not as impressive as in other years.
